The Hangover

4 san mig lights.
4 tequila shots.
1 black russian.
1 blow job.

I drank all these last night and it is making my world spin, my head throbbing in all places, and bile threatening to spew out any minute. I feel like I had died and gone straight to hell.

This is not the best way to jumpstart a long weekend. I guess this is what I get when I chose alcohol over Mulder and Scully.

*****

I wrote this on a Saturday morning in the middle of a terrible hangover, willing myself to stay awake for a few more minutes so I could gulp down a 500mg mefenamic acid and a pint of water as prescribed by Sonia. Doc, a million thanks. I managed to drag myself a few hours later to toy-shop and hit tennis balls.

I used to never suffer from hangovers. There was one time a couple of years back, that my friends and I would drink on a Tuesday night and report to work the next day like nothing happened. Now, when I drink alcohol, I'm out of commission for the next 12 hours. Then I feel restless after I awake.

scud, welcome to jj's school of drinking.

first lesson - never mix drinks.

second lesson - remember the dictum: beer over whiskey very risky, whiskey over beer, have no fear.

third lesson - drink as much water as you can and pee as much as you can before you sleep.

someone advised me long ago that water is the cheapest cure. but i saw in a movie that it has to be with hints of what you took the night before that which gave you the hangover in the first place.

I thought you're referring to the movie. hehe

Hangover is an alien to me.

raft3r, there was a time when i was a cub reporter, and even up to now, that i find out more about people, their friends and the life they live if i join them when they drink. i think it's true up to now.

however, i never used the information i got from those beer-induced talks as bases for my stories. but they did guide me.

(i must also admit i researched on how to drink safely to be able to outlast them. did i tell you butter is good before you drink? hehe.)

alak pah!

It's cool, C., no biggie. Medicines always work their magic for patients who are compliant.

By the way, a 2.5 for Wanted:Border means it was just passable. I wanted to see that movie pa naman...Psychiatry + Iloilo.
