The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Loosely based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story about a man who ages backwards, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is exactly my type of movie. It is sad (too bad it's not depressing). The film, throughout the 160-minute running time, is about having and losing love, of knowing and loving and leaving and losing family or friends or lovers, of finding happiness in the simplest of things, of the existence of death to make us realize how precious our loves are.

American media says that this is the film to beat in this year's Oscar race for Best Picture. Although, as of this writing, the Oscar nominations have not yet been announced this film is a virtual lock for a Best Picture nod. It is the type of film that Oscar voters love. It is grand. It is majestic. It is ambitious. It is gorgeously shot. It has dazzling digital effects. And it has a great but tragic love story.

This is the first movie, after The Dark Knight, that warrants repeat viewing. At the cinemas. Watch this!

I've watched it already. It reminded me of Titanic. *LOLz*

Gusto ko din 'yung movie, kaso hindi ko malaman kung bakit bumalik ulit sa pagka-b*b* si Brad Pitt. (Oops spoiler!) Ganun ba talaga 'yun? Hehehe. = P

just finished that movie. ngayon lang. Maganda actually. Hindi ko masabing fast paced kasi matagal ang dating sakin ng storya but there were no dull scenes.

Asteg sa totoo lang.

My brother saw this film and told me that it reminded him of Forrest Gump. The screenplay of Forrest Gump and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button were both written by Eric Roth. Kaya siguro mejo hawig yung dalawa.

I want to see this movie because of the rave reviews I've heard. Sana mapanood ko by the end of this week.
