I had a chat with a friend this afternoon about the final slam of the tennis calendar year began yesterday at Flushing Meadows, New York. He and a few of his officemates were putting on a bet on who among the players would reach the semifinals at the US Open. They would have to choose one player from each quadrant and could only choose two players from the top 5 (seeds). As you can see, both of us did not choose Federer since neither is a big fan. Hehe. Methinks Federer will reach the semifinals and hopefully will be beaten to oblivion by Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic vs Janko Tipsarevic
Women's.
Jelena Jankovic vs Elena Dementieva
Dinara Safina/Amelie Mauresmo (both of these players are on the same quadrant. will likely change.)
